The TEXA AGRI: TEXA is timing its entry into the multi-brand diagnostic market for agricultural vehicles to coincide with the Autopromotec show.

TEXA has developed IDC3 Agri multi-brand software specifically for use in conjunction with the Navigator TXT diagnostic tool. The electronic systems used on tractors, combine harvesters, and orchard and vineyard mulchers are becoming increasingly complex, and the generic mechanic is finding these machines increasingly difficult to repair.

TEXA has therefore developed a program that enables the multi-brand agricultural mechanic to diagnose and repair all main makes including John Deere, New Holland, Case, Fendt, Krone, Steyr, Same, Deutz-Fahr, Class, Lamborghini, Hürlimann, Landini and McCormick.

The Navigator TXT connects to the vehicle’s own diagnostic socket and dialogues with a standard PC running IDC3 Agri diagnostic software either via Bluetooth or via a USB cable. Based on the tried and tested IDC3 software for cars/bikes/trucks, the IDC3 Agri provides a range of technical data and information for the agricultural vehicle in question, including electrical wiring diagrams, system and device descriptions and technical bulletins.

Multi-brand mechanics can therefore repair controllers for engines, transmissions, floating front axles, electronic front and rear lifts, and front and rear PTO systems as well as on-board computers and air conditioning systems, with the same professionalism and reliability as a dealer’s mechanic using the official diagnostic tool.

Software

For both the PC and AXONE, TEXA have developed two operating environments IDC3 & ID3C pocket, which integrate the technical data directly inside the diagnostic tool.

When using IDC3 and IDC3 Pocket, simply select the make, model and electronic system to be tested and directly access all the diagnostic resources available for that specific system, making use of a range of additional information such as:

• technical bulletins;
• detailed wiring diagrams of the system and components in the selected vehicle;
• technical documents with reference to data and testing procedures.

A further feature of the IDC3 and IDC3 Pocket software is the ability to store diagnostic information from the vehicle and save this with reference to the registration number. This enables the operator to later recall the vehicle’s data, previous repair operations and test results at a later date. This way the technician is able to save valuable time, since the information concerning past repairs can be quickly recalled inside the diagnostic tool.
